About Mahber Maytigrat

Founded in 1950s, Mahber Maytigrat emerged from the creative hearts of renowned artists in Asmara's historic Abashawel neighborhood, originally known as Adqadhat. M.M.T was an extension of the Raba’at Association, which had been established nearly a century earlier in the city of Keren. The idea was carried to the capital by Tigrait-speaking artists to preserve the culture, customs, and traditions of the Tigre community, ensuring they would be passed down to future generations.

Mahber Maytigrat isn't just a name; it's a narrative woven through the ages, showcasing the essence of our community and the artistic spirit that flourishes within it.
